Chris Kirk

Chris Kirk was the first man to win a title on the 2024 PGA Tour after securing the Sentry at Kapalua thanks to a 29 under 263.

The $3,600,000 purse that Kirk took home will be as welcome as the 700 FedEx Cup points to his name thanks to his opening performance of 2024.

Kirk has a deal with Callaway, but he also has TaylorMade and Titleist clubs in his bag.

His driver of choice is the Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond (9 degrees). With its compact 450cc shape, it is designed for better players who want to work the ball. The Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond is the lowest spinning and launching Paradym model with a neutral ball flight.

With his fairway woods, Kirk turns to the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus 3-wood (15 degrees) and a TaylorMade Stealth 2 5-wood (18 degrees). He has had both clubs in his bag since January 2023.

Kirk starts his iron selection with a Callaway Apex Pro four iron, while his five through nine irons are all Callaway Apex CB range clubs. The Apex Pro gives Kirk power and precision and improved turf interaction.

He uses a Vokey Design SM9 56 degree wedge which stands out as the only Titleist club in his bag while his foursome of wedges is completed by Callaway Jaws MD5 46 and 50 degree wedges and a Callaway Jaws Raw 60 degree as his lob wedge.

Kirk won The Sentry using the brand-new Odyssey Ai-One Milled Six T CH (crank hosel) mid-mallet putter model, constructed with a plumbers neck and Odyssey’s new lightweight and low-torque 90-gram Stroke Lab steel shaft. His putter fitter and Odyssey player rep Cody Hale thinks the mid-mallet shape is a great fit for the 2024 season’s first cahmpion.

“He switched into the Ai No. 7 model at The RSM Classic, and he liked that head a lot, but he’s also had some success with a rounded Rossie-style putter over the years,” Hale told GolfWRX.com.

“That mid-mallet shape really suits his eye. And the Ai-tech in the face is helping him better retain ball speed on his slight mis-hits and off-center strikes. If that speed consistency can help reduce three-putts from 30, 40 or 50 feet throughout the year – even just one time – then that’s a big win.”
