Insider Identifies 5 Potential Teams Where Brandon Aiyuk Could Land

Brandon Aiyuk Doesn't Hold Back His Thoughts On Contract Situation

The San Francisco 49ers have a big problem on their hands right now, but at least they could still get some value out of this uncomfortable situation.

Star WR Brandon Aiyuk has made it loud and clear that he no longer wishes to be in the Bay area, and his social media antics are getting tiring at this point.

He’s formally requested a trade, and it seems like he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get his wish.

With that in mind, NFL analyst Bucky Brooks shared his list of the five teams that could make sense as potential trade partners (via Around the NFL).

He talked about the Washington Commanders at first, citing Aiyuk’s relationship with rookie QB Jayden Daniels from their days together at Arizona State.

They clearly have a solid friendship, as they’ve been in constant contact since Daniels was drafted, with Aiyuk even sharing a screenshot of himself breaking down Commanders film with him.

He also talked about the New England Patriots, who reportedly intended to trade for him.

The Patriots clearly need a WR1 to help Drake Maye once he’s ready to take the field.

Then, he talked about the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Aiyuk tweeted at Mike Tomlin earlier in the offseason, and having him paired with George Pickens could finally give them a steady passing game.

Brooks pointed out the Detroit Lions as another potential destination.

They’re already stacked offensively with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta, David Montgomery, and Jahmyr Gibbs, but all good things can get even better.

Last but not least, he chose the New York Giants.

He pointed out that they don’t have that much salary cap available, but they desperately need a WR1, and as talented as Malik Nabers is, he’s just a rookie.
