They made a huge investment to lure him away from the Minnesota Vikings, even though he was coming off a season-ending injury.
Cousins had a rather forgettable outing and didn’t look sharp at all.
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, his struggles might be related to having a first-time play-caller on offense.
The Falcons have been consistent in saying there are no restrictions on Kirk Cousins coming off an achilles injury.
But his struggles against the Steelers made it hard to believe.

Raheem Morris brought new offensive coordinator Zac Robinson with him after he excelled as the Los Angeles Rams’ pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
The Falcons entered this season with high expectations and the motivation to get back to the top of the NFC South Division.
Cousins might need some more time to get to his best, and if that’s not the case, perhaps they will want to give their rookie quarterback a chance to prove his worth.
