On Friday, the 2024 World Series is set to get underway as the New York Yankees will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in a best-of-seven series.

Games one and two will take place at Dodger Stadium, games three, four, and five will be at Yankee Stadium, and finally games six and seven are back at Dodger Stadium.

Fans who have followed their teams throughout the postseason might be wondering what it would cost them to go see their team perform in one of these World Series games.

According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale on ‘X,’ the average World Series ticket price is $1,413.

The three highest average ticket prices per game are all at Yankee Stadium with games three and five being the most expensive.

A possible reason for the price discrepancy between the two stadiums is that the capacity of Yankee Stadium is 46,537 while Dodger Stadium is 56,000.

It would make sense that having fewer seats would make the price of the tickets higher, but overall, the prices are all over $1,100 per ticket.

There are no signs of any limitations on who can buy the tickets as was the case with the San Diego Padres series in the National League Division Series.

These teams being located across the entire country from each other could be a reason for this, but home teams should expect the stadium to be filled with home team fans.

Only four games are guaranteed in the series, so fans will have to decide if they are willing to risk the series ending quickly before buying tickets for games five, six, and seven.
