While the AFC gets all the attention in the NFL, the NFC teams shouldn’t be slept on during the 2024 NFL season.

The NFC might not be nearly as talented as its AFC counterpart, but the conference looks much stronger following the 2024 NFL Draft and free agency.

Teams like the Green Bay Packers will look to take the leap after a successful 2024 NFL Playoffs, but the favorites are still the San Francisco 49ers and the Detroit Lions.

The Dallas Cowboys also figure to be in the mix, though it’s hard to predict how that team will perform after a disappointing playoff performance.

Another dark horse team to consider is the Los Angeles Rams, who, like the Packers, surprised the league by qualifying for the postseason despite their young roster.

With those teams in mind, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN rattled off the results of a survey that ranked the best quarterbacks in the NFC.

“No. 5 Jordan Love, No. 4 Brock Purdy, No. 3 Dak Prescott, No. 2 Jared Goff, No. 1 Matthew Stafford,” Fowler said.

The most glaring omission from the list is Jalen Hurts, but that might have to do with the Philadelphia Eagles flaming out of the playoffs.

Matthew Stafford at No. 1 might surprise some people, but the veteran had a bounce-back year last season and remains one of the most gifted passers in the league.

The rest of the list seems to be accurate, though there could be an argument that Purdy should be listed higher after leading the 49ers to the Super Bowl.
