The Minnesota Vikings have an intriguing season ahead of themselves in 2024.
After the selection of J.J. McCarthy out of Michigan in April’s NFL Draft, the team now seemingly has their quarterback of the future.
However, his growth is apparently not the biggest concern in the Twin Cities.
According to insider Alec Lewis, the team’s biggest concern is who will be the No. 3 wide receiver behind All-Pro Justin Jefferson and rising star Jordan Addison.
Per @Alec_Lewis, the biggest concern for the #Vikings heading into training camp is “Who is the team’s No. 3 WR3?” 🤔
“Is it Brandon Powell? Can Jalen Nailor stay healthy enough to play the role? If it’s not those two guys, then who? This roster hole surfaced once K.J. Osborn… pic.twitter.com/3Um0NBijSM

The good news for the Vikings is that their starting skill players are all really good.
Jefferson just got a record-breaking extension this offseason after having the best four-year start to a career for any receiver ever.
Addison caught 10 touchdowns a season ago as a rookie.
Two-time Pro Bowl tight end T.J. Hockenson is in the fold.
The team also added a former Pro Bowl running back in Aaron Jones earlier this offseason.
But, it is behind the starters that worries the folks in the building.
Lewis talked about players like Brandon Powell, Jalen Nailor, and even Trent Sheffield possibly stepping into that role.
He also threw out a possible free agent name like Hunter Renfrow.
Part of this Vikings offense revolves around blocking from the wide receivers.
With Jefferson and even Addison being the focal points through the air, head coach Kevin O’Connell will need to find somebody who isn’t afraid to block.
