Insider Says Broncos Could Trade Key WR In Offseason

The Denver Broncos are in a precarious situation as the team heads into the 2024 offseason.

Quarterback Russell Wilson appears to be on the outs after his late-season benching and Denver could look to offload more players if the team wants to have a full-fledged rebuild in Sean Payton’s second year with the team.

The biggest names the Broncos could move other than Wilson are wideouts Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy, although KOA Colorado’s Benjamin Allbright posted on social media that he thinks Jeudy is the more likely candidate to go this offseason.

Jeudy has had a rough NFL career in Denver after being drafted with the No. 15 pick in 2020.

He’s been injured throughout his time with the Broncos, has never finished with more than 1,000 receiving yards, and is one of the most inconsistent pass-catchers on a game-by-game basis.

Jeudy has been a trade candidate for a few offseasons as well, but it’s hard to imagine what his value could be after he scored just two receiving touchdowns this season and caught fewer than 60 passes for less than 800 yards.

But if a team wants to take a cheap flyer, it sounds as if the Broncos are willing to listen to offers as they look to build a new roster for 2024.

Denver has the No. 12 pick in the draft, too, where they could easily replace Jeudy should they move on from him this spring.

Until then, Jeudy remains on a Broncos team with no clear path to contention after so much promise heading into the 2023 season.
