Hapoel Yossi Avrahami Eilat (National League) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old American guard Dirk Williams (195cm-82kg-1994, college: UAB) for season 2024-25. Williams joins another USA player Jared Armstrong who is already in the roster.
He played last season at Chalon/Saone in French Betclic ELITE ProA. In 34 games, he recorded 8.4ppg, 2.5rpg, and 1.1apg.
The previous (2022-23) season, he played at Giants in the British SLB where in 38 games he averaged an impressive 19.0ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.4apg, and 1.3spg. It was a very spectacular season in his career as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-British BBL Guard of the Year and selected to All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week.
He has previously played professionally in Hungary (Zalakeramia ZTE KK) and the United Kingdom (Lions and Sharks).
His team won C-USA Regular Season in 2016.
He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2017, and it will be his eighth season as a professional player. Williams also played for Tallahassee Community College for 2 years.
