Tanner Tessmann has attracted interest from multiple Serie A clubs, with current league champions Inter Milan reportedly in talks to sign him this summer.
According to Sky Italia, Inter Milan is pursuing a permanent deal for Tessmann from Venezia. The proposed deal would involve an immediate loan back to Venezia for the 2023-24 season.
In addition to Inter Milan, Torino and Bologna have also shown interest in signing Tessmann this transfer window.
Tessmann is entering the final year of his contract with Venezia after helping the club secure promotion to Serie A. He had an impressive season in Serie B, contributing seven goals and three assists in 42 appearances.
The midfielder reunited with his U.S. men’s national team colleague Gianluca Busio at Venezia after previously playing for FC Dallas.
Recently, Tessmann represented the U.S. men’s Olympic team in a friendly match against Japan, which ended in a 2-0 defeat.
Inter Milan will be competing in the UEFA Champions League and defending their Serie A title in the upcoming season.
