J.J. Redick is still a “viable candidate” to become the next head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, sources told Jovan Buha of The Athletic.
This despite news that the Lakers are “eager to close” Dan Hurley on Friday.
Redick was rumored to be the front runner for the position earlier in the week.
Mike Krzyzewski has been unofficially advising the Lakers throughout the coaching search.
