Jabeur Dodges Mention of Grand Slam Success in Interview

Jabeur On Grand Slam Success Avoiding Her

Ons Jabeur shared her dream of becoming a Grand Slam champion, citing multiple reasons for her goal.

Jabeur has reached three Grand Slam finals but unfortunately lost all three. Her defeat at last year’s Wimbledon was particularly heartbreaking, as she was expected to win against a lower-ranked player who was not comfortable on grass courts.

The loss at Wimbledon was especially tough for Jabeur, impacting her deeply. She expressed her desire to start a family but emphasized her goal of winning a Grand Slam title first.

While becoming a mother is important to her, she understands that winning a Wimbledon title would have allowed her to pursue motherhood without hesitation. However, that dream remains unfulfilled at the moment.

“It is what it is. I think it was meant to be. Maybe I’m not ready to be a mum yet. Hopefully I can get that title because I really, really want it. Obviously now coming from a couple of very difficult months, I will try to get there and hopefully one day I can be a mum and bring my kid to the tour. I’m not getting any younger and I feel like it’s important that I want to come back and have my kid with me on tour.”

Jabeur’s future in tennis remains uncertain, but she remains hopeful for the coming months. She continues to strive for that elusive Grand Slam victory, hoping that her dreams will come true.

Despite the challenges she faces, Jabeur has already made a significant impact on the tennis Tour and will leave a lasting legacy in the sport’s history.
