Jaguars Make 2 Roster Moves Ahead Of Sunday's Game

The Jacksonville Jaguars put up a valiant effort in Week 4 against their AFC South rivals the Houston Texans, but they fell short and now own a 0-4 record through four weeks of the 2024 NFL season.

This is about as bad of a start as the Jaguars could have imagined as not only are they winless but they have been dealt some tough blows injury-wise on both sides of the football.

Offensively, Jacksonville has been without starting tight end Evan Engram who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, while the defense is missing multiple pieces including standout linebacker Foyesade Oluokun.

Unfortunately, things don’t get any easier for Jacksonville as they’re set to take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5.

While the Colts will be without Anthony Richardson, they’ll be trotting out Joe Flacco who looked excellent in relief last week.

Ahead of another tough AFC South matchup, Jacksonville elevated two players from their practice squad via Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2.

#Jaguars elevate Tanner Muse and Matthew Jackson,” Wilson reported.

Linebacker Tanner Muse and defensive back Matthew Jackson are being brought up via the standard practice squad elevation and could be thrust into roles immediately as the team could be without several players.

Aside from Oluokun being out, Josh Hines-Allen, Yasir Abdullah, Devin Lloyd, Daniel Thomas and Darnell Savage are all considered questionable with various injuries.

This is setting up nicely for Indianapolis who was able to move the football easily last week, so it could be difficult for Jacksonville to get enough stops to pull off a win.
