Today’s NFL is a pass-friendly league, and it has resulted in a number of wide receivers putting up mouth-watering numbers.
There are plenty of outstanding wideouts in the league right now, and there are several who could make a claim as the best in the league.
Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals, who has been named to the Pro Bowl three times in as many pro seasons, was asked by Jim Rome who the best wideout is right now, and he gave two names: Tyreek Hill and Justin Jefferson.

Hill had a remarkable season with the Miami Dolphins this year, and he seemed to be on his way to breaking the single-season record for most receiving yards until an ankle injury derailed those hopes late in the schedule.
He still finished with 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns, both of which led all wide receivers, which earned him his eighth Pro Bowl nod and his fifth All-Pro First-Team selection, and he led Miami to an 11-6 record and a playoff appearance.
Jefferson, the centerpiece of the Minnesota Vikings, was limited to just 10 games this season because of a hamstring injury, but he still hit the 1000-yard mark and scored five touchdowns.
Coming into this season, some thought Jefferson could hit the 2,000-yard mark, and if the Vikings figure out their quarterback situation this offseason, perhaps that mark could be attainable for him this fall.
The sport of football is in a very good place right now, and Hill and Jefferson are two big reasons why.
