For months, Jayden Daniels has been projected to be the No. 2 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
The LSU star is considered to be the second-best quarterback in this class, behind only Caleb Williams, which is a lot to say.
Some had UNC’s Drake Maye going ahead of him, but most draft boards had Maye going either No. 3 or No. 4.
Notably, that might not be the case anymore.
According to a report by Savage Sports, Daniels’ visit with the Washington Commanders didn’t go as well, so he’s now looking forward to taking his talents to Foxborough to play for the New England Patriots, who are in possession of the No. 3 pick.
Looking forward to my upcoming visits. Glad to be home. https://t.co/8GqQs6s4jE

With that in mind, Daniels took to Twitter to react to that report, pretty much ignoring it and stating that he was looking forward to his upcoming visits and that he was glad to be home.
On the surface, Daniels looks like a tailor-made prospect for Kliff Kingsbury’s offense, and the same cannot be said of Maye.
Daniels is a dual-threat kind of guy, a mobile player who thrives when rolling out of the pocket and who can also make plays with his arm.
Maye, on the other hand, is more of a classic quarterback, and while the Josh Allen comparisons could be there as well, he’s not an instinctive scrambler at this point in his career.
Whatever the case, the Commanders and Patriots could find a legitimate star, so it’ll be interesting to see who goes where on April 25.
