Jets Owner Makes Confident Declaration About Team Before Season Opener

Expectations had never been this high for the New York Jets.

If anything, they have a better team than they had last season, and they know they have no room for error now.

But more than pressure, it feels like they have plenty of optimism.

At least, that’s how team owner Woody Johnson feels.

Talking on FOX News, Johnson stated that he had never seen a Jets team like this in the 25 years he’s been in charge of the organization.

He believes they have a deep and very talented team that will be able to compete at the highest level with all the powerhouses in the league.

More than that, he believes Aaron Rodgers looks great, and he has high hopes for the veteran quarterback next season.

The Jets went through instant heartbreak last season when Rodgers suffered a season-ending injury four plays into the season, so they know better than anybody else that anything could change in the blink of an eye.

But if they manage to stay healthy, there’s no reason to believe they won’t be one of the strongest teams in the league from the very start of the season.

With this kind of roster, anything short of a deep postseason run could cost plenty of people their jobs, not to mention that it could also force Rodgers either off of the team or out of the league as a whole.
