The NFL Draft is just a couple of hours away, and some of the most exciting prospects in all of football will turn pro.
Most of the frenzy and the headlines have been with quarterbacks and wide receivers.
Nonetheless, a young offensive tackle coming from an NFL pedigree might also be a generational talent in the first round.
Joe Alt has been projected to be a top-10 or top-5 pick for most of the draft process, and rightfully so, as he already knows what it takes to find success in this league, and he’s been arguably the best offensive lineman in college for a couple of years.
Recently, Alt made an appearance on Kay Adams’ Up & Adams Show, revealing that as much talent as there is in the league, he’s looking forward to facing Myles Garrett the most.
He raved about his power and speed, calling him a ‘special’ player, adding that he cannot wait to match up against him in the trenches.
As of now, Alt is strongly believed to be the Tennessee Titans’ pick at No. 7.
Unfortunately for him, the Titans aren’t expected to go against the Cleveland Browns in 2024, at least not in the regular season.
So, unless these two teams cross paths in the playoffs, he’s going to have to wait for at least another season before fulfilling his dream of matching up against the reigning AP Defensive Player of the Year.
At least, he’s going to have plenty of opportunities to practice and get a hold of the speed of the NFL game to be prepared for when that day comes.
