The Cincinnati Bengals had a difficult start to their 2024 season.

After many believed they would lay the hurt on the New England Patriots, they got upset by a team that wasn’t expected to win more than a handful of games.

This result was especially surprising because it seemed like Joe Burrow was fully healthy, ready to compete and help this offense take the next step forward.

However, Burrow had a pedestrian outing in the loss, and fans believed they spotted the primary reason for his downfall.

There was a viral social media clip that showed Burrow trying to pick up a water bottle on the sideline, but seemingly couldn’t due to a wrist injury.

Burrow recently addressed this in a video shared by the Bengals on X, where he said, “I can’t say I’ve seen that, or no what anyone’s talking about.”

Burrow denied seeing this video at all, and he seemed to brush off the fact that fans were concerned about the state of his wrist.

He didn’t look like himself in the game against the Patriots, but it could have just been a game where the rust wasn’t knocked off from the offseason.

For now, fans might be satisfied with Burrow’s answer, but only time will tell.

If he struggles to gain traction over the next few weeks, and his passing numbers continue to be suboptimal, there might be more conversation and heat surrounding him and the Bengals, and whether the truth is being told about the wrist.
