Over the past few years, it has become abundantly clear that superstar quarterback Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals does whatever he wants to do on and off the field, even if he knows that he’s going to get criticized or people simply won’t understand why he did what he did.
Heading into training camp with the Bengals this week, Burrow made a lot of headlines, as he chose to get a haircut and dye his hair blonde, which makes him look a bit like a young Eminem or WWE superstar Cody Rhodes.
Of course, during Burrow’s first media availability, after his new hairstyle made the rounds on social media, the Bengals superstar was asked why he chose to get a buzz cut and bleach his hair, which he chalked up to being bored via Mike Petraglia of the Jungle Roar podcast.
“I got bored,” Burrow said. “That’s about it.”
With Burrow being arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the league and in the same conversation as Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson, the Bengals aren’t going to mind him doing something as silly as buzzing and dying his hair.
The real question moving forward when it comes to Burrow is whether he can stay healthy and productive on the football field during the 2024 campaign, as he played in only 10 games last season, which basically derailed any chance of Cincinnati coming out on top in the AFC and competing for a Super Bowl.
