For years, the Cincinnati Bengals were viewed as one of the worst teams in the NFL.
Sure, they showed some promise at times, but for the most part, the Bengals struggled to gain traction, especially in the playoffs.
When Joe Burrow came to town, however, everything changed for this franchise.
The organization seemed to have hope and excitement for the first time in years, and now, the city has rallied around him and this team.
They’ve already made it to the Super Bowl once during his short tenure as the team’s quarterback, and Burrow only appears to be getting started.
One of the main reasons that Bengals fans have taken a special affinity to Burrow, is his unwavering confidence.
Burrow seemingly believes he can make any throw at any time, and he carries himself with a unique sense of swagger.
He developed this during his time at LSU, where he was aptly nicknamed “Joe Cool” by many of his fans and teammates.
LSU is a historic organization, and Burrow certainly took a lot from his time there.
In fact, in a recent interview with Complex Sports, Burrow named the top four best LSU athletes of all time.
He responded with, “Shaq, Pete Maravich, I’m gonna put me on there, I’m gonna put Odell on there.”

This is another testament to Burrow’s confidence in himself.
He believes he’s already a top-four alum from LSU, putting himself among legends like Shaquille O’Neal, Pete Maravich, and Odell Beckham Jr.
Has he done enough in his short NFL career to deserve a place in LSU’s Mount Rushmore?
