Plenty of star NBA players have gone down with injury over the weekend, or are close to making a return from injury. Get all the latest information right here.

JOEL EMBIID

There is still no timetable for Joel Embiid’s return after he underwent left knee surgery for a meniscus injury.

But ESPN’s Katie George provided a positive update during the 76ers v Mavericks game on Sunday.

The big man has reportedly “started on-court workouts and began lifting 100 percent of the weight he lifted prior to the injury”, George reported during the broadcast.

Embiid underwent surgery on February 6 and had an initial re-evaluation timeline of four weeks.

More clarity on his return should be provided when the team releases an official update on his progress this week.

DEVIN BOOKER

Devin Booker is out for Sunday’s game against OKC after spraining his right ankle.

The injury occurred in Phoenix’s loss to Houston on Saturday night when Book’s feet got tangled with teammate Royce O’Neal.

The guard limped off the court and didn’t return for the rest of the game.

Suns coach Frank Vogel said X-rays came back negative.

RUSSELL WESTBROOK

Russell Westbrook suffered a fractured left hand against the Wizards on Friday night and has no timetable for return.

About two minutes into the second quarter, Westbrook tried to steal the ball from Jordan Poole, but was unsuccessful and could be seen grabbing at his hand and flexing it afterwards.

Russ played 79 straight games for LAC before the injury and James Harden knows how much his presence on the court will be missed.

“…[We’ll miss] everything he brings to the game,” Harden said. “His athleticism, his energy, his playmaking ability, his leadership.”

SCOTTIE BARNES

The Raptors have quite the conundrum on their hands since one of their best player Scottie Barnes fractured his left hand on Friday night against the Warriors.

Raptors beat reporters Josh Lewenberg provided the latest update on Sunday.

“The Raptors are expecting to have a treatment plan for Barnes’ broken hand over the next few days – he’s still seeing specialists,” Lewenberg said. “They haven’t ruled out surgery; Darko says everything remains on the table. Timeline for his return to the court will depend on what they decide.”
