Joel Embiid’s Battle with Bell’s Palsy Begins During Play-In Game

Joel Embiid Treated For Bell's Palsy Since Play-In Game

Philadelphia 76ers’ center Joel Embiid has recently undergone treatment for a mild case of Bell’s palsy, which is characterized by facial muscle weakness or paralysis.

The onset of the condition occurred during the Sixers’ Play-In victory against the Miami Heat last week. Embiid has been seen wearing sunglasses indoors as a result of the palsy. Despite dealing with this health issue, Embiid chose to keep it private to maintain focus for the team.

In a remarkable display of strength, Embiid managed to score 50 points in Philadelphia’s Game 3 triumph over the New York Knicks.
