The Baltimore Ravens fell just short of making the Super Bowl during the 2024 NFL Playoffs, but are expected to be right back in the inner circle of contenders once the 2024 NFL season comes around.
The Ravens may have lost some pieces in free agency, but they replenished their roster via free agency and the 2024 NFL Draft to ensure they have the best chance to compete.
Baltimore’s got the reigning MVP in Lamar Jackson coupled with one of the best defenses in the league.
The Ravens also have a coaching advantage as head coach John Harbaugh has been one of the best at the position over the last decade-plus.
Unfortunately for Harbaugh and the organization, they were dealt some devastating news when former All-Pro wide receiver Jacoby Jones passed away just three days after his 40th birthday.
In the wake of Jones’s death, Harbaugh and the Ravens released a statement via the team’s official Twitter account.
“I loved Jacoby Jones. We all did. His spirit, enthusiasm and love for people were powerful. He was a light,” Harbaugh said.

Jones was a key member of Baltimore’s Super Bowl XLVII win, capping off what ended up being a career-year for him.
Jones was named to his only Pro Bowl and All-Pro team in 2012, and got to add a ring for his efforts.
The former wideout would go on to play for the San Diego Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers but finished his career officially as a Raven after he signed a one-day deal and retired from football.
