John Pak and Frederik Kjettrup of Florida State both secure victories at professional golf tournaments on the same day.

Florida State’s John Pak, Frederik Kjettrup win pro events on same day

Florida State golf alums John and John Pak each recorded professional victories on Sunday, continuing the Seminoles’ run of strong play at golf’s highest levels.

With an exemption to the PGA Tour Americas following an eighth-place finish in the PGA Tour University rankings, Kjettrup won in his tour debut at The Beachlands Victoria Open in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Kjettrup shot 21-under (63-64-64-68) and held off Mateo Fernandez de Oliveira by a shot Sunday. The Denmark native wrapped up an exceptional career at FSU, where he helped the Seminoles to their best finish as NCAA runner-ups.

Pak nabbed his first win on the Korn Ferry Tour at the Compliance Solutions Championship at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club in Norman, Oklahoma.

A final round 2-under 70 was good enough for Pak to hoist another professional trophy. he won the Elk Ridge Saskatchewan Open on the PGA Tour Canada in 2023.

Pak moves from No. 51 to No. 9 on the season-long Korn Ferry Tour Points list. The Top 30 in the final standings, which is determined after the Korn Ferry Tour Championship in October, earn 2025 PGA Tour cards. Pak was PGA Tour University’s first No. 1-ranked player when the rankings system debuted in 2021.
