Johnny Manziel’s NFL journey didn’t pan out as he expected, but he might still get another chance to play the sport he loves.
According to a report by TMZ Sports, Manziel could be back on the gridiron pretty soon.
Apparently, new Arena League Commissioner Lee Hutton III is trying to convince him to suit up again and join the league in their comeback.

The AFL will relaunch in 2024 under new management for a 16-team, 10-game season, and Hutton wants Manziel to be a part of that.
Hutton is the first black pro league commish in United States history, and he’s reportedly been in touch with former owners, commissioners, and coaches to make sure things go right this time.
He’s also looking to get multiple former NFL players to join, and he wants to keep the fans engaged and entertained while they await the official start of the season.
Manziel is 31 years old already, and he’s been away from the game for quite a while now.
The former Heisman Trophy winner struggled with depression and addiction throughout the course of his brief career in the league.
A former first-round pick and Texas A&M legend, he played in the CFL and other leagues before retiring from the sport.
He’s engaged in a self-healing journey and has been quite open about his struggles, and he seems to be in a very good place right now.
Another chance in the NFL might be off of the table for him, and he might not even be interested in giving it a go, but who knows? Maybe he can still find joy in the game in the AFL.
