Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka set to tee off in DP World Tour this autumn

Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka plan to play on DP World Tour this fall

Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka, two of the biggest stars on the Saudi-backed LIV Golf League, have announced their plans to play on the DP World Tour this fall.

Both players revealed in press conferences at LIV Golf Chicago that they would be participating in European circuit events. Rahm specifically mentioned his commitment to the Spanish Open, Andalucia Masters, and Alfred Dunhill Links Championship as part of his Ryder Cup plan.

Rahm stated that these three events, along with the Olympics, would meet the European Ryder Cup requirement, although he expressed his reluctance to pay his DP World Tour fines.

“I’m entered in the tournament. We entered a long time ago. Whether they let me play or not is a different thing,” Rahm mentioned on Wednesday. “I’m not a big fan of the fines. … I’ve been outspoken about the fines. I don’t intend to pay the fines and we keep trying to have a discussion with them about how we can make this happen.”

Koepka also confirmed his intention to participate in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, noting, “St. Andrews is my favorite course in the world.”

LIV Golf Chicago will begin on Friday at Bolingbrook Golf Club and serves as the league’s final event before the team championship in Dallas on September 20-22.
