Jon Rahm’s signing with LIV Golf late last year elevated him to the top player in the league, a title he proved throughout the season and solidified on Sunday.
The 29-year-old secured the 2024 LIV Golf League individual title, a season-long points race akin to the FedEx Cup. Rahm held off Joaquin Niemann, his closest competitor for the lucrative bonus, and will pocket the $18 million prize.
Rahm clinched his second victory of the season on Sunday, winning the title at the 2024 LIV Golf Chicago event held at Bolingbrook Golf Club. This marked his second triumph of the year, with his worst finish being T-10 in 12 events (he withdrew from LIV Golf Houston in June due to injury).
In 2022, Dustin Johnson claimed the individual championship in LIV’s inaugural eight-event season, while last year saw Talor Gooch emerge as the winner after securing three victories.
Adding to his two wins and 12 top-10 placements, Rahm amassed $16,737,904 in individual earnings.
LIV’s season will conclude at the Team Championship finale at Maridoe in Dallas from Sept. 20-22.
