Jonathan Isaac: Defensive prowess on display in Game 1, now focusing on improving offense

TalkBasket

Orlando Magic veteran Jonathan Isaac reflected on his team’s performance in the recent Eastern Conference First Round Game 1 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Despite a 97-83 road playoff loss, Isaac praised the team’s defensive effort but emphasized the need to improve on offense for Game 2.

Isaac acknowledged the team’s struggles, particularly in shooting (32.6% FG/21.6% 3-PT/63.3% FT) and missed free throws. However, he highlighted the strength of their defense in keeping the Cavaliers under 100 points.

He stated, “The biggest takeaway for us is missed 11 free throws, didn’t shoot the ball particularly well throughout the course of the game from the field and from three, but we held them under 100 points… that’s the strength of our defense, we just have to make shots.”

The article also included video embeds of Isaac’s post-game comments.
