Jordan Spieth’s left wrist is currently immobilized following surgery. Despite this, he was able to participate in an interview on SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio with Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz. Spieth revealed that he had experienced dislocation in his wrist over 20 times since February, sometimes even right before his tee times. He considered withdrawing from the John Deere Classic in July but decided to push through the pain and continue playing.
After finishing 63rd in the BMW Championship, Spieth underwent successful surgery. He is optimistic about his recovery and aims to be ready for the PGA Tour’s return in Hawaii in January. He won’t be able to start full swings until mid-November, but he is hopeful that he will be game-ready by the new year.
During the interview, Spieth discussed the history of his wrist injury, mentioning incidents that occurred as far back as late 2017. He explained that the recent dislocations prompted him to seek medical treatment, as rest alone was not resolving the issue. Despite the challenges, he remained focused on his recovery and is looking forward to returning to competitive golf without the burden of his wrist injury.
The past year has been a struggle for Spieth on the course due to his wrist issues, which mostly affected him off the golf course. However, with the surgery behind him, he is eager to make a comeback and regain his form. He acknowledged that the road to full recovery might be challenging, but he is determined to overcome any obstacles and return stronger than before.
