Former Raiders running back Josh Jacobs had many options this offseason as he searched for a new home away from Las Vegas.

After spending his first five seasons with the Silver and Black, Jacobs believes he found his perfect team in Green Bay.

The Packers are perennial contenders and boast their next young star at quarterback, along with a wealth of offensive talent.

Jacobs explained to NFL Network insiders Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero last week that he believes “the sky is the limit with this offense.”

The running back praised young quarterback Jordan Love and noted the team’s strong offensive line and solid receiving corps.

The first-round draft choice from 2019 enters his sixth NFL season with three 1,000-yard campaigns under his belt, including 2022, when he led the NFL with 1,653 rushing yards.

Now he heads to the frozen tundra, where the team traditionally steers toward using a stable of running backs.

However, head coach Matt La Fleur knows what he has in Jacobs and indicated he believes his new addition will be a workhorse for the Packers.

Jacobs also appears poised to take a more active role in the passing game in Green Bay than he ever had with the Raiders.

He spoke of being utilized by the Packers’ coaching staff at minicamp by running strong pass routes, and he could be a dangerous threat on third down.

The NFC North is loaded with talented teams that include the suddenly powerful Lions, Green Bay, a resurgent Chicago, and a Vikings club that will be good if it gets solid quarterback play.

Jacobs should fit right in.
