Josh Sargent continues impressive form with his fourth assist of the season

Josh Sargent "in a really good place" heading into USMNT duty

Josh Sargent continues to impress fans at Norwich City with his goalscoring abilities, but he has also been showcasing his distribution skills in recent weeks.

Sargent notched his fourth assist of the EFL Championship season on Saturday in Norwich City’s 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium. The U.S. men’s national team forward’s performance keeps him on track to surpass his career-best assist record in a single season.

Ante Crnac opened the scoring for the Canaries in the 45th minute after Sargent’s initial attempt was blocked in the Stoke City box. Crnac capitalized on the rebound to give Norwich City the lead.

However, Million Manhoef leveled the score for Stoke City just before halftime, resulting in a shared outcome for the two teams.

Sargent, who played in both of the USMNT’s recent matches, completed the full 90 minutes in the game against Stoke City. He had three shots blocked and won one duel during the match.

Norwich City currently sits in seventh place in the Championship table and is set to face Preston North End at Deepdale on Tuesday. The team is on a five-match unbeaten streak in league play, positioning them in the top half of the standings.
