Julen Lopetegui keen on reuniting with Wolves star

Julen Lopetegui era at West Ham

Julen Lopetegui is set to begin his tenure at West Ham soon. The Spaniard was previously with Wolverhampton Wanderers but left due to unfulfilled promises made upon his hiring.

Under David Moyes, West Ham experienced success by qualifying for Europe three consecutive seasons and winning the Europa Conference League. However, the style of football played under Moyes was not favored by the fans.

One of Lopetegui’s priorities will be to bring back the attractive attacking style of play that West Ham was known for. He will need the support of his players to implement his vision, with one player of interest being Max Kilman, whom Lopetegui captained at Wolves.

The Daily Mail reports that Lopetegui is interested in bringing Kilman to West Ham. However, Wolves are demanding £45m for the defender, which may hinder any potential deal.

West Ham must consider the financial implications of such a transfer and ensure they uphold their promises to Lopetegui to avoid a repeat of his departure from Wolves.
