Jurgen Klopp target could still sign for Reds

Jurgen Klopp target could still sign for Reds

In just under two month’s time, Jurgen Klopp will no longer be the manager of Liverpool football club.

The German will lead the club for the final time on Sunday, May 19 at Anfield against Wolverhampton Wanderers, in a game that will surely be something else on an emotional level, as the locals come to pay their respects to a man that has brought the glory days back to the Red half of Merseyside.

Liverpool still want Jurgen Klopp target Johan Bakayoko

By then, Liverpool could well be Premier League champions again, or everything could be up for grabs going into the final game, dependant on what’s happened between now and then.

What’s clear is that Klopp’s legacy at the club will long outlive him, and in years to come supporters will undoubtedly look back at his time in charge and pinpoint matches such as the comeback against Barcelona as being the pinnacle.

Jurgen Klopp target Johan Bakayoko could still sign for Liverpool

The way his teams have played football has often put them on another level when being compared to their Premier League contemporaries, so if there are players that the German has identified during his time at the club but they have not yet signed, the new regime will do well to run the rule over them once more.

One player that apparently remains a Liverpool target is PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko.

According to Fichajes, the player was always on the list for a potential switch in time for the 2024/25 campaign, and it appears that such a move could still be on.

Rated at €25m by the outlet, that’s a figure well within the grasp of the Premier League giants, and is unlikely to impact them with regard to Financial Fair Play.

As parting gifts go there wouldn’t be too many better than the exciting 20-year-old at a bargain price, and there’s plenty of time between now and the transfer market opening for a deal to be agreed.
