Justin Fields has relocated from the Chicago Bears to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he may have something of a clean slate moving forward after three disappointing seasons in Chicago.
Many feel he simply doesn’t have what it takes to be a legitimate starting quarterback in the NFL, and he will be a backup to Russell Wilson, at least to begin with, in Pittsburgh.
Fields was seen working on his throwing accuracy by flinging a football over a soccer goal, per Steelers Depot.

In three years with the Bears, Fields only completed 60.3 percent of his pass attempts, and in 2023, he only mustered 2,562 passing yards and 16 passing touchdowns.
Despite having a productive wide receiver in DJ Moore by his side, he was only able to guide the Bears to five wins in the 13 games he appeared in, and they ended up missing the playoffs for the third year in a row.
In Pittsburgh, Fields is now on a team that went 10-7 and made the postseason in 2023, and it could take a step forward this fall and winter.
It added star linebacker Patrick Queen this offseason, and it has some solid offensive weapons in wide receiver George Pickens and running backs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren.
With Wilson’s level of play showing some slippage as he barrels through his mid-30s, some have speculated that Fields could take over as head coach Mike Tomlin’s starter at some point this coming season.
Regardless, this should be an interesting season for the Steelers and their devoted fans.
