The Brooklyn Nets are bringing on Juwan Howard as an assistant coach. Howard was recently relieved of his duties after serving as the head coach at his alma mater, Michigan, for five seasons.

Selected as the fifth overall pick in the 1994 draft, Howard enjoyed a 19-season career in the NBA. He achieved All-Star and All-NBA honors during the 1995/96 season and secured a couple of championships during his twilight years as a role player with the Miami Heat.

Following his retirement from playing, Howard swiftly transitioned into coaching. He spent six seasons as an NBA assistant coach with the Heat before assuming the role of head coach for the Michigan Wolverines in 2019.
