Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr., who suffered a fractured rib on November 11, is set to make a comeback to the court next week, according to NBA insider Shams Charania.

Sources indicate that Oubre is targeting a return as early as Wednesday, with a chance to play against the Wizards. The 76ers will also host the Atlanta Hawks at home next Friday.

The journey back for Oubre began after a traumatic incident where he was struck by a car near his Center City residence on November 11.

The impact resulted in a fractured rib, along with injuries to his hip and right leg. Promptly transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Oubre received necessary medical attention and was later released.

Despite the challenges, Oubre has been working diligently on his recovery, with the upcoming week potentially marking his return to the 76ers’ lineup.

In the current season, Oubre has been a significant contributor, averaging 16.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in 29 minutes per game.
