Kenneth Walker III, AJ Dillon, and Aaron Jones Impacting Week 18 Waiver Wire

Kenneth Walker III, AJ Dillon, and Aaron Jones Impacting Week 18 Waiver Wire

Week 18 in the NFL season is just around the corner. The majority of fantasy football leagues finished last week, but there are still some leagues with championships on the line! If you’re still playing, you have to look at which players are playing in big games, as many teams rest their guys this week.

The Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers are both playing for playoff spots this weekend, and they have some injury questions at the running back position.

Here’s a look at Kenneth Walker III, AJ Dillon, and Aaron Jones as we get closer to kickoff.

Latest News and Injury Updates Impacting Fantasy

Kenneth Walker III, Seattle Seahawks

Walker played in the loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, and he finished with 10 rushes for 53 yards and scored a touchdown. He also had three catches for 22 yards.

However, Walker has been battling a lot of ailments over the second half of the season, and right now, he’s currently dealing with a shoulder injury.

The fact he was able to play last week should be a good sign that he will play in Week 18 against the Arizona Cardinals. The Seahawks have to win that game (and get help) in order to make the playoffs.

Right now, everything would indicate that Walker is going to play. The Seahawks need to win, and you can expect him to play barring any major setback. We’ll continue to keep you updated.

AJ Dillon, Green Bay Packers

The Packers are on a tear right now as a team, but they’re having to battle injuries all over the offense.

The running back position has especially been an issue for Green Bay. One of those guys is Dillon, who has been battling injuries for what feels like all year.

Dillon has been battling a hand injury, but on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, he was knocked out of the game with a stinger. The team was able to keep it rolling without him, however, as they defeated the Vikings, 30-10.

For Dillon, it’s still too early to know whether or not he will go for sure. The fact that he was able to play with the thumb injury in Week 17 is encouraging, but monitoring the practice reports throughout the week will be critical.

Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers

Like Dillon, Jones has had to battle several injuries this year, but the veteran RB is starting to resemble the player Packers fans have come to know.

Jones has had 20 carries in each of the last two games and has rushed for 120 and 127 yards in consecutive weeks, respectively.

Jones is the perfect complement to Dillon, as he can make a big play at any time. He’s also much more involved in the passing game than Dillon is, making him the RB1 in Green Bay.

Jones did take a smack in the face during the end of the game against Minnesota, but that wasn’t a serious injury. Right now, it feels like Jones is as healthy as he has been in some time. Don’t be surprised if you see him getting some rest days this week to be even more fresh for the game against the Chicago Bears.

Stay tuned to Pro Football Network throughout the week to see the health status of these three running backs, among others.
