Kevin Durant has the option to extend his contract with the Phoenix Suns this offseason beginning on July 8th. He has the opportunity to add one more season at just under $60 million for the 26-27 season when he will be 38 years old, with his 36th birthday falling at the start of training camp in September.
The decision made by Durant and the Suns regarding an extension will be closely monitored across the league as it will provide insight into how both sides view the long-term partnership. As of the 24-25 season, Durant, along with Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, will collectively make approximately $150 million.
