Kevin Durant’s NSFW Message to Mike Brown

Kevin Durant’s NSFW Message to Mike Brown

As a 13-time All-Star, Kevin Durant is used to getting double teamed, but he didn’t take too kindly to it on Friday night against the Kings, and made sure to let their coach Mike Brown know.

The Suns lost 120-105 to the Kings and Durant took his frustrations out on Brown in an exchange between the pair during the game

“I asked Mike Brown that during the game, and he tried to give me a compliment, and I was like, ‘F*** out of here, man,’” Durant told reporters with a smile, per Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic. “Stop all that doubling and tripling. But that’s just the game plan. I think we’re still figuring it out, the spacing around it and when to be aggressive. I can’t turn the ball away if we want to have a chance.”

Durant was then asked how imperative it is for his teammates to spaced out, especially when it’s just himself and Devin Booker on the floor.

To which he answered, “I think guys are doing a solid job of spacing out and taking shots they see that are right for them…sometimes they go in, sometimes they don’t. I like the spacing that we had. We got some good looks up, but we gotta deal with team that are all out blitzing…I feel like as soon as the game starts, teams are putting their blitz package on us and trying to see how we handle it. I think it’s only going to make us better.”

Of their last ten games, Phoenix have won just three of those contests and they recently came under fire by ESPN analysts for being ‘too soft’.

The absence of their third offensive arsenal Bradley Beal due to injury certainly hasn’t helped matters.

The shooting guard has played in just six games since the season begun.
