The Minnesota Vikings are experiencing some good times right now. They are one of the best teams in the NFL having won their first four games of the 2024 season. As if things couldn’t get any better, head coach Kevin O’Connell recently announced they are close to getting back one of their best offensive players. The Vikings are going to open up the 21-day practice window for Pro Bowl tight end T.J. Hockenson, via Jeff Wald of FOX 9 Sports.

Imagine being unbeaten through four games and you don’t even have your complete offense yet. When healthy, Hockenson is up there with the likes of Travis Kelce and George Kittle as one of the best receiving tight ends in the league. Before tearing his ACL last season, he posted career-highs with 95 receptions and 960 receiving yards. Adding Hockenson to an offense that already includes Pro Bowl running back Aaron Jones and All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson should be a scary thought for the rest of the league. With the resurgent season that quarterback Sam Darnold is having, another weapon could be all he needs to turn this offense into a Super Bowl-caliber unit. Time will tell to see if Hockenson needs the entire 21-day period to get back to full speed and on the field.
