The Chicago Bears are facing a bit of a crossroads right now.
On the one hand, they could look to finally build an offense around Justin Fields, who’s shown signs of great play, and see how far he can take them.
On the other hand, they could take Caleb Williams with the No. 1 pick, as he looks like a generational and a “can’t-miss” kind of talent.
The latter, however, would be the wrong choice, at least according to former NFL WR Keyshawn Johnson.
Talking on “Undisputed,” he made a case for the Bears sticking with Fields and finally putting him in a position to succeed, as opposed to going with a prospect who’s still unknown and who might not be built to play in Chicago’s blistering cold.
“Do you want to move on from someone you never gave a chance to draft something more unknown?” Johnson asked.

Johnson pointed out concerns about Williams’ record against top teams, adding that he’s also smaller than Fields.
Per him, they would be better off using their leverage to make sure other teams give them as much as they possibly could, gaining valuable draft capital to put a better team around Fields.
Needless to say, this is the best problem any team could ever dream of, but it’s a troubling situation nonetheless.
The Bears could fetch a king’s ransom for the No. 1 pick, as multiple teams could get desperate to get their hands on Williams.
Then again, will they want to be the team that had the chance to get Caleb Williams and chose not to?
It doesn’t seem like they can do right or wrong here.
