Krejcikova Organizes Virtual Q&A Session Ahead of Wimbledon Final

Krejcikova Hosts Online Q&A Before Wimbledon Final

By Erik Gudris | @atntennis | Friday, July 12, 2024

Barbora Krejcikova took time after practice to answer fans’ questions online just ahead of playing in her first ever Wimbledon singles final.

The 28-year-old Czech went onto X, formerly known as Twitter and let her followers know she would answer their questions. She did this earlier during the tournament during a rain delay and it proved popular then.

Krejcikova, the No. 31 seed is set to face off against No. 7 seed Jasmine Paolini of Italy with the winner becoming a first time Wimbledon singles champion. Krejcikova won the Roland Garros singles title in 2021 and also holds seven major doubles titles, including two at Wimbledon.

Here’s a sample from her Q&A today that started out with the ultimate question – Roger or Rafa?

When asked how important playing the Olympics were to her, Krejcikova, a gold medalist in doubles with her partner Katerina Siniakova in the Tokyo 2020 games responded very much so.

“Very very important. I love to play for my country. In the Olympics years, I would probably put it on top of my priority list tbh.”
