Romeo Doubs’ absence from Sunday’s game against the Rams has sparked intrigue in Green Bay.

The Packers wide receiver’s suspension, stemming from missed practices last week, has raised questions about his role in the team’s offense.

Reports suggest Doubs’ frustration with his involvement in the passing game may have led to his practice absence.

Despite this setback, head coach Matt LaFleur remains optimistic about Doubs’ future with the team.

LaFleur plans to meet with Doubs on Monday, expressing confidence in the receiver’s return to action this week.

The coach further acknowledged the reality of distractions in the NFL and life in general, praising his team’s ability to maintain focus amidst the situation.

“You’ve got to do your best to just focus on the task at hand, and I thought our guys did a pretty good job of that,” LaFleur added.

Doubs’ discontent is somewhat perplexing given his significant role in the team’s first four games.

He started each contest and logged more snaps than any other Packers wide receiver.

While his targets decreased during backup quarterback Malik Willis’ tenure, this was largely due to a shift towards a run-heavy offense rather than a deliberate oversight of Doubs.

LaFleur’s upcoming meeting with Doubs presents an opportunity to reignite the receiver’s motivation and reinforce the connection between effort in practice and on-field opportunities.

If the conversation proves productive, Packers fans may see Doubs back in action against the Cardinals next Sunday.
