Lakers Part Ways with Darvin Ham

Darvin Ham's Future As Lakers Head Coach In 'Serious Peril'

The Los Angeles Lakers have decided to relieve Darvin Ham of his duties as head coach after his two seasons with the franchise.

During his first season, Ham led the Lakers to the Western Conference. In his second year, the team triumphed in the In-Season Tournament but were eliminated by the Denver Nuggets in the first round. Over the course of his coaching stint, the Lakers achieved a 90-74 record under Ham’s guidance.

Ham still had two seasons remaining on his contract, with a salary of around $5 million per year.

Prior to this decision, the Lakers had also let go of Frank Vogel after his three seasons with the team.
