Amid speculation that J.J. Redick is the front-runner for the head coaching position with the Los Angeles Lakers, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that a decision is not imminent.
There are rumors that the Lakers may delay announcing Redick as head coach until after The Finals, as he is currently involved in broadcasting duties for the series.
This week, the Lakers conducted a second interview with James Borrego and have additional meetings planned with several other coaching candidates.
Chris Quinn, Micah Nori, Sean Sweeney, and David Adelman are some of the other contenders publicly associated with the position.
Darvin Ham departed from the Lakers this offseason, leading to the search for a new head coach.
