Lamar Jackson Demonstrates Impressive Speed in Flag Football Game

SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA - DECEMBER 25: Lamar Jackson #8 of the Baltimore Ravens looks on prior to a game against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi

After signing a lucrative contract extension with the Baltimore Ravens last year, superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson headed into the 2023 NFL season highly motivated to prove his worth to the franchise and show the rest of the league that he’s still an elite player on the NFL level. Ultimately, Jackson didn’t disappoint the Ravens as he had one of the best seasons of his NFL career, which resulted in the team locking up the top seed in the AFC and their undisputed leader under center, winning his second NFL MVP award.

Unfortunately for Baltimore, Jackson’s magic didn’t carry over once they reached the AFC Championship Game, as the Ravens didn’t stand a chance against the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, resulting in the team going home empty-handed. Along with the Ravens failing to live up to their Super Bowl aspirations, Jackson fell flat against the Chiefs, as he couldn’t get anything going offensively, especially when it came to making an impact on the ground.

However, it seems as though Jackson’s speed has returned during the NFL offseason as he put on a show in a flag football game, showing how elusive he can be, via Dov Kleiman.

Although this is impressive to a certain extent, most people will react to this by asking where this speed and elusiveness was when he was playing the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. Fortunately for Jackson, he’ll have a chance to redeem himself for his poor playoff performance during the 2024 NFL season, where the Ravens will be expected to be a force to be reckoned with once again in the AFC.
