Lamine Yamal Sparks Controversy Before El Clásico Against Real Madrid

Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has stirred up excitement ahead of the upcoming El Clásico by accusing Real Madrid of “robbing and complaining.” The match scheduled for this Sunday will see Barcelona travel to the Santiago Bernabéu to face off against their historic rivals, with Madrid currently holding a two-point lead at the top of the LaLiga table after nine matches.

Yamal made these remarks during an appearance on the YouTube channel of the Kings League, a competition organized by former Barcelona player Gerard Piqué, now president of his own team, La Capital. When questioned about the similarities between Porcinos, La Capital’s rival this weekend, and Madrid, Yamal responded: “Yes, they rob; they complain; they do things…”

Never one to shy away from bold statements, the 18-year-old forward previously insisted that Madrid “could not handle” Barcelona last season after his team defeated them in the Copa del Rey final, which they won after coming back from behind.

After his provocative comments, he later added, “While I’m winning, they can’t say anything; when they beat me, they can.” In last season’s four encounters against Madrid, Yamal notably scored three goals and assisted two others, leading Barcelona to victory in all matches: two in LaLiga, along with the Copa del Rey and Spanish Supercopa finals.

This season, despite dealing with a groin injury, Yamal has still managed to score three goals and provide five assists in seven appearances for Barcelona.
