The Philadelphia Eagles are obliged to bounce back in 2024.

Nick Sirianni’s team has way too much talent to struggle the same way next season.

They had the best record in the league at 10-1 at one point in 2023, and while some of those wins weren’t particularly pretty, they still found ways to get the job done.

That’s why not even their own players understood their late-season collapse.

Recently, veteran offensive tackle Lane Johnson admitted that he didn’t have the answers as to why or how they ended the season on such a low note (via Around the NFL).

Nonetheless, he’s looking forward to getting to work with new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and getting back on track:

“Every year’s different,” he said. “I wish I had the answers to why the second half of the season went the way it did. It was something that went by so fast, and I know after it wasn’t a problem. But [I’m] looking forward obviously to this new offense under Kellen Moore. Gonna be some things changed up for us up front. Excited, man, 12th year. Crazy how fast it goes by.”

For the second time in as many years, the Eagles will enter the season with a new offensive and defensive coordinator.

Jonathan Gannon and Shane Steichen left the team after their failed trip to the Super Bowl to become head coaches for the Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts, respectively, and that clearly took a toll on their chances to compete at the highest level.

Now, with Vic Fangio and the aforementioned Moore taking the reins and helping Nick Sirianni, expectations are once again at an all-time high in the City of Brotherly Love.

The NFC isn’t as stacked as the AFC, but they will still need to be at their best to get past the likes of the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and San Francisco 49ers to get back to the ultimate stage.
