The most important game in the last round took place in Podgorica between third ranked Teodo (18-6) and fifth ranked SC Derby (17-7) on Tuesday night. Teodo was defeated by SC Derby on the road 99-85. SC Derby made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. SC Derby looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Luka Bogavac (195-2003) who helped to win the game recording 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Croatian point guard Borna Kapusta (182-1996) who added 17 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side guard Filip Bakic (193-1997) responded with 17 points and 4 assists. SC Derby have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 17-7 record. Teodo at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Primorje 1945. The game in Podgorica supposed to be also worth to mention about.
Sixth ranked Kotor (10-14) played at the court of 8th ranked Milenijum (8-15). Kotor smashed Milenijum 76-49. The winners were led by Mustaffa Assaf who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and Dusan Bozovic supported him with 3 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 13 points and 6 rebounds by Miljan Marinovic (193-2002) did not help to save the game for Milenijum. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kotor maintains sixth position with 10-14 record, which they share with Lovcen. Milenijum at the other side keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost. The game in Kotor was also quite interesting.
Second ranked Podgorica (20-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Kotor (10-14). Podgorica managed to secure a 4-point victory 69-65 on Saturday. Filip Andjusic fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Podgorica’s coach Dragan Radovic used a ten-player rotation in such a tough game. Balsa Jokic produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the lost side. Podgorica have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Sutjeska. Loser Kotor keeps the sixth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Lovcen. There were no shocking results in the other games in round 28: Danilovgrad was destroyed by Sutjeska on the opponent’s court 103-79. Primorje 1945 outscored Milenijum in a home game 108-61. Decic recorded a loss to Lovcen on the road 100-86. Jedinstvo was crushed by Ibar on its own court 73-98.
