Al Bataeh Sharjah (ULB) signed 27-year old American forward Kyvon Davenport (203cm-95kg-1997, college: Memphis, agency: BIG) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Davenport joins another USA player Donte Ingram who is already in the roster.
He played last season at Sabah in Azerbaijani ABL league. In 9 FIBA Europe Cup games he was league’s fifth best scorer with impressive 17.0ppg and averaged 7.2rpg and 1.3apg. He was also named League Player of the Week. He also played 20 games in ABL where he had very remarkable stats: 17.6ppg, 8.2rpg, 1.9apg and 1.7spg. Davenport helped them to win the league title. 2023-24 was a great season as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Azerbaijan League Forward of the Year and named to All-Imports Team.
The previous (2023) summer he played at Heroes in Venezuelan SPB. In 9 games he recorded 10.0ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.4bpg in 2023 year.
He has played on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Davenport has played previously professionally in France (Cholet Basket and Entente Orleans 45), Israel (Hapoel Eilat) and Ukraine (Budivelnyk).
He was selected All-GCAA Player of the Year back in 2017.
Davenport graduated from University of Memphis in 2019 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player. He played also for Georgia Highlands College for 2 years.
