LeBron James mum on future with Lakers after Game 5

LeBron James Declines To Answer Whether Game 5 Could Be Last With Lakers

Following the Los Angeles Lakers’ elimination from the playoffs by the Denver Nuggets in Game 5, LeBron James faced questions about the possibility of it being his final game with the franchise.

“I’m not going to answer that,” James responded.

James has a deadline of June 29 to decide whether to opt into the final year of his contract with the Lakers for $51.4 million or explore free agency.

The Lakers are making efforts to keep James and are reportedly willing to present him with a three-year, $164 million deal, according to sources.

When asked about his decision-making process for the upcoming season, James admitted, “I don’t have an answer… to be honest. I haven’t given it much thought.”
